Nearby City:
Pacific Palisades, CA
Driving Directions:
From the CA-1 Freeway/ PCH make a Right/ Left (depending on direction you are coming from) onto West Sunset Blvd. and a left onto Los Liones Dr.  follow for 0.5 mile and park at the end of the street near the church.

Sunrise to sunset

Moderate- Strenuous

The best way I could think of to describe this trail is, 3 miles of uphill. For a large section of the Los Liones trail to Parker mesa overlook has a steady- steep  incline.

1292ft Gain

Year around- always make sure to check current weather conditions for the area you will be in.
Parking/ Entrance Fee:

Cell Service:
T-Mobile- I had no service in the canyon but once the trail was above the trees and on the fire road I had spotty service.

Los Liones Trail to Parker Mesa Overlook- 3.5 miles one way
Trippet Ranch to Parker Mesa Overlook- 2.7 miles one way
Trippet Ranch to Los Liones Trailhead- 12. 2 miles RT

Trail Condition:
While hiking many times in sections of Topanga Canyon State Park I have found it is one of the cleanest parks I have hiked in. This trail was very clean, with trash cans and benches along the trail and very well signed, making it very hard to get lost.

Trail Directions:
Walk to the end of the street past the gates and onto the trail leading into the brush. Take this trail as it climbes up and out of the canyon for 1.3 miles to a large junction with the East Topanga Fire Road. Take a rest on the bench and you soak up the views. Keep left at the junction and take the fire road, winding through the Topanga canyon and at 3.2 miles from the start the fire road hits another junction with the Parker Mesa Overlook. Take this trail to the end where there are two benches to rest on and enjoy the views. Return the way you came.

Other Activities:
Trail Running
Mountain Bikes (Bikes are ONLY allowed on fire roads, most trails have no bike signs)
Dog are NOT allowed on trails and fire road in Topanga State Park!!! FOLLOW THE RULES!
Camping (Musch Campgrounds)
Horseback Riding

Jessie's Thoughts:
Great work out hike! I love this trail for early morning workout. If you are looking for a tough challenge hike this or other trails starting from Los Liones.
